Privacy Policy

Safhatayn is a bilingual book-summary app. We collect only the data needed to provide accounts, subscriptions, reading progress, recommendations, support, analytics, and app reliability.

Data we collect

• Account information: email address, optional display name, optional profile image, authentication provider, account identifier, role, status, and timestamps.
• Usage data: reading progress, saved books, completed books, reading plan state, selected categories, feature interactions, and search metadata such as query length and language.
• Referral data: invite link surfaces, public attribution tokens, invite clicks, redemption state, reading activation, annual reward qualification, and hashed request metadata for abuse prevention and attribution.
• Subscription data: RevenueCat customer identifiers, entitlement status, product identifiers, renewal or expiration state, purchase history, and trial status.
• Technical and diagnostic data: app version, platform, device or installation identifiers, push notification tokens when notifications are enabled, analytics events, crash/error diagnostics, and performance data.
• User-submitted content: book feedback, support messages, attachments, photos or images, and voice recordings you choose to send for support or speech-to-text.

How we use data

We use this data for app functionality, authentication, personalization, subscription access, analytics, support, abuse prevention, reliability, and security. We do not sell personal data.

Referral links may include a public token and a safe in-app destination so Safhatayn can attribute joins and rewards. Optional clipboard deferred linking, when enabled, only writes or reads a referral token after a user taps the landing-page download action; it is feature-flagged off by default for public App Store review.

Third-party services

Safhatayn uses Convex for backend/auth/storage, PostHog for analytics and error tracking, RevenueCat for subscription management, Groq for voice transcription, Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, and Apple App Store or Google Play payment processing. These services process data under their own privacy terms.

Retention and rights

When you delete your account in the app, Safhatayn permanently deletes app-owned account, reading, preference, support messages and attachments, voice transcription, notification, and related user data, except where retention is required for legal, security, audit, or operational reasons. Store purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat; their billing records may remain with those providers, and deleting your Safhatayn account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. You can request deletion in the app or contact us.
